Growing up in Cleveland, I always loved the fall. The crisp weather, the beautiful colors. I remember taking the long way home from school a few times in high school just to maximize the time spent driving among the foliage. When we moved to Montana, I was caught off guard to only see yellows this time of year. Then we went to New Mexico, where there was even less color. (But that’s okay, because fall weather in Albuquerque lasts forever and is actual perfection.) At our next stop in Virginia, I was pleasantly surprised to see some more of the color that I remembered from growing up. But now being back in Ohio… this is a DREAM for a Kettering family photographer!
I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening to hang out with the Beach family. After quite a bit of location scouting, we settled on Lincoln Park Pond for their family session. Not only was the color beautiful, but there was enough open space to create the light, bright images that I’m known for. This was actually more challenging to find than I expected, so I was very happy to see this spot. (Okay, truth be told, my husband gets the credit for telling me about it!)
Grace, Charlie, Graham and Julia loved exploring the park. Walking along the water, crunching up leaves, throwing rocks, climbing on trees… they did it all! While Mom and Dad played defense to make sure no kiddos ended up in the water, I followed the littles as they played. As I did, I noticed what a kind and caring big sister Grace is. I just love the shots of her individually with each of her little siblings. And I have a feeling her mom loves them too!
As the final leaves fall this season, I’m feeling grateful for the first few Ohio families who have trusted me to capture their memories this year. I can’t wait for another fall next year, but in the meantime, I’m ready for the most wonderful time of the year! If you’re looking for a Kettering family photographer to capture your holiday memories this year, please reach out to me. I’d love to serve your family too!

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!
I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!
Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.
I'M ERIN.
