Friends, I am SO excited to share this session with you! It’s no secret how much I love working with fellow military families and my time with the Beans was no exception. Madelyn and Paul came ready to play with little Annabeth and we just had a great time together. It was a beautiful fall morning for some Cox Arboretum family photos!
We arrived at Cox Arboretum early on a Saturday and I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. That’s been one of my favorite parts of being in Ohio. As much as I miss photographing in DC, I do love practically having locations to myself! Plus, despite being a week after peak fall color, there were still a few trees hanging onto their leaves for us giving the overall vibe we hoped for.
Now, it was a chilly fall morning, but Annabeth was a happy girl. She loved being held by her mom, crawling on my blanket, and touching the leaves in the trees. My favorite shots of her though are the ones of her walking while holding her parents’ hands. Her little grin is just precious! These are the tiny little details that change all too quickly and I love having the opportunity to document them for families.
While this fall season is coming to an end, I do have some room in calendar for some winter sessions. Being in Ohio, I’m really hoping for some fun snowy sessions this year! If you’re up for that or just want some Cox Arboretum family photos, please reach out to me!

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!
I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!
Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.
I'M ERIN.
