Castle Rock Family Photos | The Andersons

Family Session

Some sessions come together in the most unexpected ways. This one started with a real estate transaction. Jason was our realtor when my family moved to Colorado, patient and knowledgeable through what was one of the more complicated moves we’ve made. (But that’s a story for another day! 🙃) When he reached out about Castle Rock family photos, it was an easy yes. I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of his crew.

A Family Session in Castle Rock

Jason and Emily chose an open space behind their home for their session. It’s a place their family has spent countless hours together, which made it the perfect backdrop for what this session was really about: their beloved pup and their sweet little boy.

Bentley has been with Emily his whole life, and with his time growing short, they wanted to capture this season together. And then there was Breck, who had just turned one. He’s curious, sweet, and right in the middle of everything. If we weren’t paying close attention, he absolutely would have eaten some of the rocks he found!

Two boys, two very different reasons for a session, but both rooted in the same thing – wanting to hold onto a season before it passes. It was the kind of session that reminds me why I do this work. 🤍

To Jason and Emily, thank you so much for trusting me with such an important time for your family. I’m grateful you invited me in and hope you’ll cherish these images for years to come.

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!

more about me

I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!

Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.

I'M ERIN.
