Juan Tabo Cabin | Albuquerque Family Photography | The White Family

Family Session

Grandmas with their whole families are becoming a bit of a trend for me, and I’m not complaining! The White family was so easy to shoot, there was always someone willing to help make the kiddos smile and laugh. Whether bribing Lennyn with Cheetos or pulling out every stuffed animal in the bags for Rowan and Jessi, it was quite the adventure. So worth it, as I’m sure you can see, to capture the love this family has for each other.

Albuquerque Family Photography Session at Juan Tabo Cabin

Jessi and her parents were up first, though Jessi was a bit reluctant when it came to smiling. She was far more interested in watching Morgan wander around, so I decided to use that to my advantage. It wasn’t long before Morgan was making her new friend look and smile. Holding my two-year-old while shooting isn’t usually part of the plan, but hey, flexibility is the name of the game and I’ll do what I have to do!

With smiling faces out in full force, it was so nice to be shooting at Juan Tabo Cabin again. The building and its walls add such great depth and detail to all the photos here. With the sun just above the crest of the Sandias, the light was perfect. It was low enough in the sky to be have beautiful highlights, but also bright enough to shoot in the shadows to get great looking close ups of the little ones.

By the end of the session, when the kids were all worn out, there was just enough time for some couples shots. I love getting parents on their own where they can remember that they don’t just love their little ones. You can see how relaxed and in love they all are, just give them a second to be alone together!

I hope you enjoy these photos of the White family as much as I enjoyed shooting them. If you’re interested in an Albuquerque family photography session, please reach out! Whether you’re looking for a large family shoot or your family of two, I’d love to help you make some amazing memories!

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!

more about me

I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!

Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.

I'M ERIN.
