Hey friend! If you’re a milspouse photographer with orders to Cannon AFB, I’m excited to connect you with Bethany Pendleton Photography! In this Clovis, NM Photography Spotlight, Bethany is sharing what she’s learned while running her business at this assignment. I hope you find it helpful!
The Barn at Tinsley Crossing is a wedding venue in Portales, NM. However, it’s a gorgeous spot and many photographers use the outdoor area for sessions. Please note that you have to call the owner ahead of time.
This open park in Clovis has lakes and trees. It’s a pretty spot, but the negative is that you have zero cell signal in the area. Also note that many people carry here.
This is an ideal studio for headshots and indoor sessions. It is perfect for the winter time and requires a $30 fee for rental. You can currently book your time using their online scheduler.
Spring and Fall are usually the busier seasons.
Most areas do not require permits.
Network with others if possible.

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!
I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!
Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.
I'M ERIN.
