DC Newborn Photography | The Keilson Family

Lifestyle Newborn

Born just one week before this DC newborn photography session, baby Jonas stole the spotlight with his adorable charm. Against the backdrop of a charming jungle-themed nursery, I had the opportunity to capture this growing family’s first portraits together. Despite the uncertainty leading up to it, it was a beautiful morning.

Washington DC Newborn Photography Session

Baby Jonas was wide awake for most of the session, taking in the world around him with his curious eyes. He stared out the window and listened intently as his parents talked to him. After awhile though, he started to fuss and was clearly getting tired. As a prepared photographer (and a seasoned mom!), I had a trick up my sleeve – a simple white noise “song” played on repeat – and it worked like a charm. Jonas peacefully dozed off, giving us a chance to capture some sleepy baby snuggles too.

Capturing Anne and Josiah’s early moments with baby Jonas was an absolute pleasure. This new chapter in their lives was filled with smiles and the kind of joy that only a newborn can bring. The jungle-themed nursery provided a lovely backdrop, reflecting the warmth and care that Anne and Josiah have put into creating a cozy space for their son.

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!

more about me

I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!

Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.

I'M ERIN.
