It’s no secret that I absolutely love lifestyle newborn sessions. Fresh babies. Smitten parents. Tiny fingers and toes. What’s not to love? I’ve done a handful of these sessions over the last couple of years, but there was something new coming with this one. Twins! That’s right, when Sarah Schmidt reached out asking for help covering this session too, I could not have been more excited. I got in touch with Andi and we began planning a NOVA lifestyle newborn session for Grady and Keller.
Not only are Andi and Mikey adjusting to life with twins, but they are continuing to be the sweetest parents to their 20-month-old, Ethan. While Ethan wasn’t thrilled when I arrived, he warmed up to me when he realized his parents weren’t going anywhere. Plus, once he learned I would exchange blueberries for smiles, I was in!
We started with some photos of the babies together and then individually. As sweet as Grady and Keller are with each other, Andi also wanted to recognize them as individuals. I worked hard to capture their little features, all while staying in Ethan’s good graces. We talked about Daniel Tiger, his favorite shapes, and sang Wheels on the Bus. That’s when I discovered our secret weapon!
Ethan LOVES the Wheels on the Bus! To coax a few more smiles out of him, we played the Cocomelon video on Andi’s phone (all you parents know what I’m talking about!) and balanced it on the top of my camera. We sang together and captured some really beautiful memories for their family.
I’m so thankful that Sarah connected me with Andi and am thrilled to be able to share some of my absolute favorite lifestyle newborn photos to date. If you’re interested in a NOVA lifestyle newborn session, twins or not!, please let me know. I would absolutely love to document these little details for your family too.

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!
I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!
Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.
I'M ERIN.
