Jones Point Park has become a classic location in Old Town Alexandria for ETP family portraits. I love the waterfront, the cute little lighthouse (that looks more like a cottage than a lighthouse), and the easy access to parking. Plus, the light is great in both the morning and evening and it’s very kid-friendly. All in all, it’s a perfect place for family portraits and I’m thrilled the Jones family agreed to meet me there.
Kristie and Nick arrived with their adorable little girl, Skylar, on a quiet morning in Old Town. They dressed perfectly in neutrals which made Skylar’s big blue eyes pop. She was a calm and curious baby and just took in her surroundings as we walked to the lighthouse.
Kristie wasn’t sure how Skylar would handle her first professional photos, but let me tell you, she was an absolute delight! She enjoyed every song her parents sang and had her naturally chilled-out personality on full display. It was a joy to capture her big cheese grins and the heartwarming connections shared between the three of them. I am beyond thrilled with the stunning gallery we created in such a short amount of time!
If you’re seeking a fun and memorable photography experience in Old Town Alexandria, let’s chat! I absolutely love working with families and would be honored to capture this season for your crew.

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!
I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!
Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.
I'M ERIN.
