Alexandria Newborn Photography | The Rozelle Family
I’ve had quite the stretch of newborn sessions and I’m not mad about it! There’s something so special about documenting a family’s early days at home with a new little one. Whether it’s their first or fourth, it’s a time of significant change and growth that I just love capturing. This was no different for the Rozelle family who recently welcomed baby Corrine. Their Alexandria newborn photography session was the perfect balance of chaos and joy.

Yes, you read that correctly, I said chaos. One of my favorite parts of serving families with newborns is making magic for them during what just feels crazy. Do you have a toddler who doesn’t want to wear pants? A baby who is hungry as soon as I arrive? A kiddo who doesn’t quite understand their own strength and wants to love on the baby just a liiittle too much? Or maybe you’re as “lucky” as the Rozelles and you have the combination of all of these things! Guess what? It doesn’t scare me.
I went through the newborn days twice myself. Plus, I’ve served countless families over the last few years. I know how hard those early days are. Try as you might to plan every little detail, sometimes your kids have other plans. It may feel nuts, but I always strive to be a calming presence who is genuinely happy to roll with the crazy. I work hard to read the situation and offer support and distraction where I can. And when you trust me like the Rozelles did, we make magic together.
I’m so grateful to have had an Alexandria newborn photography session with this sweet family. Seeing how loved Corrine is by her parents was beautiful, but it was Lucas’s interactions with her that were just so joyful. I hope these photos always serve as a reminder that there is beauty in the chaos and that these early days are filled with so much love.
