Monument, CO Family Photographer | The Acosta Family

Family Session

We recently got back from a quick house-hunting trip to Colorado, and I’m so glad we made it happen. We’ve never done a trip like this before, but taking the time to explore neighborhoods, schools, and mountain views made everything about our upcoming move feel so much more real. And even better, the trip gave our kids things to be excited about, which makes this transition feel easier already!

And as a bonus? I got to photograph the sweetest family while we were there!

A Session with a Monument, CO Family Photographer

While we were in town, I met up with the Acosta family and this session was such a highlight of the trip. Megan is part of the Photographers Changing Stations community for military spouse photographers and meeting her in real life was just the best!

Between the golden light, mountain backdrop, and the perfect mix of fall color, the scenery was even better than I could have hoped for. Plus, Megan crushed it when it came to choosing outfits for their family. A flowy dress, coordinating colors, layers, accessories… she thought of it all! Their family was so easygoing and down for whatever, which made the whole session feel relaxed and fun. It’s exactly the kind of atmosphere I love to capture!

I’m so grateful to have my first CO session under my belt – thanks, Megan! 🤍 – and can’t wait to serve more families in the greater Colorado Springs area soon! If you’re looking for a family photographer in Monument, CO, I’d love to connect. We’ll officially be in the area Spring 2026, but I’m sharing all about the lead up to our move on Instagram in the meantime!

I HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU!

more about me

I've been navigating military life with my family since 2008. In that time, I went from a full-time classroom teacher to an online course designer to a photographer. Actually, I still teach a little math on the side because I just love it too much!

Through it all, I've discovered how passionate I am about connecting with military families. Whether it's taking photos at a retirement ceremony, coaching a fellow milspouse photographer, or just grabbing coffee with a new squadron friend, I love this community. And as a teacher at heart, I'm excited to use this space to share what I've learned about business and life with you.

I'M ERIN.
