Welcome back to my AI for Photographers series! Today, I’m pulling back the curtain on a tool that has become my secret weapon in crafting compelling content: ChatGPT. This versatile AI tool has become part of my regular workflow, assisting me in everything from blog writing to social media captions, and even newsletters. In this post, I’ll share how I am utilizing ChatGPT to elevate my business. There’s even a new freebie at the end to help get you started too!

What is ChatGPT?

Wait, Chat what? Let’s start at the beginning. ChatGPT is an AI language model that, when appropriately trained, can mimic your brand voice and assist you in generating written content. For a photographer and small business owner juggling many roles, having a virtual assistant like ChatGPT can be a game-changer. (Side note: Now I’m thinking about all those roles we juggle — photographer, editor, marketer, content creator, web designer, accountant, … whew! And that’s not even all of them!)

Utilizing Chat GPT

The magic happens when you train ChatGPT to understand your unique brand voice. For me, this involves having it generate responses to specific prompts until it consistently captures the tone, style, and language I want. It’s not a one-time thing, rather an ongoing process. I engage in a conversation with the model every time I use it, refining its responses until they align seamlessly with my style. Once trained, you can be utilizing ChatGPT for various tasks:

1. Blog Writing: Do your session blogs follow a specific structure? When creating them, start by sharing the structure as well as specific details from the session with ChatGPT to get an initial draft.
2. Social Media Captions: Have you ever sat down to write a social media caption and the words just aren’t coming to you? Same. Prompting ChatGPT for the type of caption you’re looking for can help!
3. Launch Emails: Launching a new date of mini sessions? ChatGPT can craft a series of emails that goes out to your email list during launch week.
4. Newsletters: Speaking of email list, do you have tribe that you know you should be interacting with more often? ChatGPT can help you draft a newsletter to them to keep them engaged, informed and entertained.
